Annual General Meeting
Thanks to everyone who came along to the club’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 29 October in the Zoo Room at the Erindale Vikings Club, with free pizza beforehand. The main business of the night was electing the 2025–26 committee, and we welcome Lauren as our new President. A big thank you to the outgoing committee members for all their work, and to everyone who has put their hand up to help run the club this year.
Novices are off and running
The 2025 Mitchell’s Glass Novice Program kicked off on Saturday 11 October. Over eight weeks our novices are learning to swim, ride, run and transition with our coaches, building up to their first race at the Canberra Tri for Fun at Stromlo on 23 November, with the option of the Jackie Fairweather Triathlon on 7 December. If you see them at training, say hello!
Australian Masters Games
David Leake was one of the Chief Time Keepers for the swimming at the Australian Masters Games at the AIS on 24 and 25 October. David says there were 934 swimmers from across Australia and overseas, including people up to 95 years old still swimming very competitively. “It was hectic non-stop action but extremely well run … and well worth volunteering.”
