Tidbinbilla Thriller
New to the Sri Chinmoy trail series, the Tidbinbilla Thriller offered three distances, with the longest tackling steep climbs and very steep, loose descents. The views were beautiful and it was great getting the club out to a new spot. Shout-out to Narelle for winning her age group in the medium distance.
Western Sydney 70.3
There may have only been four Vikings at Western Sydney 70.3, but the team spirit was strong. After months of disciplined preparation, Kelly nailed her first 70.3 in around 6 hours 15 minutes. Lucas delivered another strong race, Fi finished 3rd female overall in the aquabike, and Lexa put in a solid aquabike effort too.
Mother’s Day Classic
Bron walked with her daughter, Charlotte took on the course with her whole family, and Hayley, Danielle and Mark smashed PBs in the 10 km.
On the bike
Thanks to Matt for leading this month’s Saturday ride up Stromlo for hill repeats on a foggy morning. Further afield, Ross rode the Mudgee Classic gravel ride on a mountain bike with his son, while Cathy (with her husband) and Tony rode the Otway Great Ocean Classic.
